The Powder Room-I am planning to either paint or wall paper a feature wall behind the pedestal sink
The laundry

The Bathroom

Feature Tile-Wall Candy Humbug in Black

The Ensuite (almost finished)

The feature is a smaller version of the floor tile border by a silver strip

The kitchen

And, the correct front door....soo much better!

Tilers should have finished today.  Painters were said to be there this week but I haven't seen any paint so that will be all next week.  We were contacted by the electricians to say they'd be in next week too.

The wrong front door

The wrong front door was delivered on Wednesday
Sadly, this is the door that got coded on the contract so I am waiting to find out if PH is going to replace it with the one we chose.  I will NOT be happy if we do not get the door we wanted because someone wrote the code down wrong.  This is the door we want, in a wood stain, with translucent glass.

Cupboards

The cupboards were installed early last week.  I think there is a problem with the laundry cupboards because they have not installed them yet.  It looks like they built a base for a double cupboard but we upgraded to 3 cupboards with 3 overhead cupboards.

Here is the kitchen--I LOOOVE the colors.  Laminex Snowdrift & Laminex New Graphite
The ensuite-Laminex Oyster Linea

The bathroom-Laminex Limed Ash

The tilers were there until dark yesterday and working hard to day, so I expect that they may be finished today so I'll hold off on the tiling pics that I have taken and post the finished product.

Quick Update

I went to the house today just to see if I was locked out, and I was.  Site Supervisor was there in his car and I didn't even realize it so I finally met him.  He seemed really nice and switched on kinda guy.  I need to measure up windows for the blinds but I had the kids with and it's all muddy outside with all this RAIN!

So...I am in love!  With my kitchen cupboards that is.  They were in and looking great!  I didn't get to take any pictures and it was only a quick visit with SS there.  Technically not meant to just show up and let me in unless paperwork has been signed and approved but he didn't seem to mind.  He gave me the update.  This week tiles should be finished and next week will be painting!!

Today I made final decisions about the flooring and will put down deposit and order tomorrow.  I bought the pendants on E-bay, should be here in 10 working days.  I have a bid on the exact oyster lights I wanted for $50 for 12 lights from my neighboring suburb, i think they came out of a display home.  What are the chances of that happening!!  I hope I get them, that would be a STEAL!

As soon as I get the exact measurements for the windows I will order all the blinds.  I have decided on these white Shutter Blinds and Standard Verticals for the sliding doors.

Pendant Lights

The last post for today! :P  I have chosen a pendant light for over the kitchen benchtop.  There will be three of these good looking lights.  They are from Eglo, I found them on Ebay.

Cornices, Skirting, Stairs and so much more!

Today was a fun day to visit the house.  Sooo much has been done!  All the plastering is finished, all of the cornices and skirting is in place.  Even though we recently signed a PCV (post contract variation) for them to leave some of it off for us to place after we do the flooring. They will have to remove it.  All the doors are in place.  The waterproofing was done in the wet areas.  We have stairs and railings!!  There is shelving in the pantry. And wait for it.......a HUGE delivery of cupboards, basins, tiles and the laminate top for the laundry!

It also looks like they did a clean up of the yard and a rubbish dump!  Here's a little looksy.

Plastered!!

It's been a busy week at Mumma's house!  Here are some earlier pictures taken while the scaffolding was still up and before cornices and skirting were in place.

Here is the cladding above the roof tiles.  Can't remember the color but I am pretty sure it needs to be painted and that's not the color I chose.

Fans & Lights

I still haven't decided on which pendant lights I want to put over the counter/sink in the kitchen.  These are the fans and ceiling light covers I plan on getting.

Wrapped, waiting for the brickies.

The house was handed back to us for the weekend so got to spend some time there and have a really good look.  Dh did all the networking so all of our tv's and computers will be connected.  He also put in the electrical for the future AC because won't be getting one right away and the wiring for our sound system.

Shopping for flooring

I spent about 4 hours yesterday getting quotes for flooring.  Going for this laminate flooring in the entry, family, dining, kitchen and pantry.

Quick-Step Eligna Oiled Walnut Planks
Carpet to the rest of the house, will look something like this but in Charcoal Grey

This week they have been busy on site putting in the electrical and plumping roughes.  They will finish the roof tiles to the lower level of the house tomorrow and bricking next week.

Windows, Doors and Roof Tiles Started!

The windows and the upper level roof tiles were all completed last week 7/2.  The roof tiles, guttering, windows and sliding doors are all Momument (the color) and the trim under the guttering and the downpipes will be in Surfmist.  The main door door frame with a temporary door in it is currently leaning against the wall in the family room, it has transulecent glass on either side, the same glass will be in the front door.
